Councils signed up to The Military Covenant

Please let me know if your council has signed up to The Military Covenant and I can add it to the list. We can then see which councils are best at honouring their pledge to support our armed forces veterans. I have tried to link to the appropriate page on each council, but I have taken some councils from the MoD website and cannot find mention of the covenant their website, so have just linked to the homepage. If your council is not here and should be – please contact me. If your council is here and shouldn’t be – please contact me!

Glasgow City Council have set up Glasgows Helping Heroes for veterans to access advice and support on a wide range of issues including debt, employment, benefits, health and housing issues. It is a partneship between the council and SSAFA Forces Help. In my experience they do an excellent job and could act as a blue print for other councils.
