Bob Young

Bob Young is a proud Mancunian who now calls Jersey, in the Channel Islands, his home. A lifelong Manchester City supporter and a devoted fan of Bob Dylan, Bob finds joy in the beautiful balance of sport, music, and the written word. Having been a sportsman all his life, he has transitioned from scoring goals on the football field to perfecting his table tennis skills in his retirement.

Before embracing the quieter pace of retired life, Bob worked as an accountant, bringing precision and focus to his professional career. These qualities now enrich his poetry and reflections, as he writes about his life, the world around him, and the things that inspire him most.

Bob’s writing captures the essence of a life well-lived—his journey from Manchester to Jersey, his passion for sport and music, and his love for storytelling. Whether he’s penning a poem, recalling memories of matchday euphoria, or reflecting on the simple beauty of everyday moments, Bob shares his unique perspective with warmth, wit, and authenticity.

Through his words, Bob continues to celebrate his roots, his passions, and the joy of embracing new chapters in life.
